Well, now I'm working on getting some pictures up here.  Ended up getting  2 of the last things that I've just before Christmas.  Top picture is a dog bed that I made for DD's 75 lb. black lab.  It fits her great.  DD had a mattress topper out of memory foam.  Took that and used 2 layers glued together to make sides.  Put a bottom in it out of fabric.  Then made  a 2 layer cushion with zippered black minky top to fit inside.  I thought it was pretty plushy. LOL

The bottom picture is pot holders made long enough to fit around pans when you take them out of the oven.

Now I have to get into taking more pictures again...

It has been ages since I posted.  First my old computer gave out , then got a new one and just took months to learn how to work it.  This ole Nana is a slow learner with computers.  But I'm hoping that I'm on my way back to blogging.

It's about time that I get busy and get some pictures uploaded. I've been busy really busy the last couple weeks and here are some pictures that show some of the things that I've been working on. This is a Christmas quilt that my niece pieced and I quilted it for practice.

Close up of the holly leaf that I free handed in each square. Made some holly leaves and holly berries as a lot of the fabrics had them in the pattern.

One of my Red Hats asked if I could come up with something for her to give to her card club friends. I thought of these in the middle of the night. I'm kind of dangerous when sleeping, and think of the craziest things. They are made of yarn, and to be used as an ornament...

Close up of card angel...

This quilt is pieced a lady who is about 85 years old. She made it to give to her son. Had made aphgans for the girls. Another quilt for practice..

Another close up...

This is the block of the month that we make for my quilt club. Everyone makes one and then they draw the names of everyone who makes one and they get the whole bunch of them to maks a quilt for themselves.

Well, I did get some pictures downloaded. Had a problem getting them put on the blog. This is the sweatshirt jacket with an under tee shirt.

I embroidered the chick-a-dee's on the jacket front and a feather on the tee shirt.

Also put a feather on the back shoulder of the jacket too.

Here's that crazy yarn that I'm knitting that ruffley scarf out of. I folded the scarf up so accually it's not that wide, that's 2 lengths of it. Didn't notice that till now. LOL I got the yarn at Hershnerres, it's called Sundance Frill. You can probably google the name... It's weird, because you only knit in the outside mesh of one side of it. I'm doing only 6 stitches...

This quilt is the first one that my niece pieced since she started quilting. She brought it over for me to practice quilting on my new quilting machine on my frame. It's a win-win deal. She said to do what-ever and I got lots of practice...

It is very pretty browns and gold group of fabrics. Don't know what pattern she used, but it had big squares.

These are a few of the zipper necklaces and the 2 pins that I made with the zippers... Everyone had a good time making one and want to make more.

These are the flowers made with the Clover jigs. Easy, peasy and so fun to do.

I just finished a sweatshirt jacket and a tee-shirt for a birthday gift for SIL's Aunt. Need to find something neat to use as a fastener on the jacket and then will post that, maybe tomorrow... Didn't get a picture yet.

I thought that I must get some pictures of these projects that I've worked on the last couple of weeks. These are fabric flowers made with a kanzashi flower maker die from Clover. I had gotten them at the spring sewing expo at Nancy's Notions. They are fast and fun to make and very simple ... Can be made into pins, put on head bands, bracelets, or necklaces. They go well with the yo yo makers...

This is the start of some of the zipper jewelery that I've been trying. Got a bunch of cheap zippers. These are just coiled glued and could be pins, or put on just about anything.

Another pin made with just zippers.

Here's a necklace made from a zipper with 2 flower pieces made out of zippers. Could be done many ways and many colors. Fun, fun, fun....

Here's the last pictures with some of the necklaces made with just zippers waiting for some trimming on or just to be worn over a sweat shirt or something just casual. These are some of the things to do to keep occupied and out of trouble. LOL

Here's a close up of the quilt that I quilted for one of my classmates for practice. She had pieced it years and it sat in the drawer till I was telling her that I needed projects to practice on. She brought it up and it's not fancy but it was good practice.

Here it is just thrown over my bed. Not the best light. That's it till next time...
