This is a picture of the WW book holder. Got the pattern from Embroidery Garden off the internet, and it is done all in the hoop. The front is quilted, and I just added an A for Ali. It was the first thing that I have done [in the hoop]. You just keep adding the layers and everything is then zig zagged around.

This is my attempt to show how I made this denim tote out of a pair of blue jeans. Follow instructions written on tags. Click on pictures in blog to enlarge so you can read them...

After the legs were split open and cut off of jeans, lay them opposite ways. Top of leg to left on top, and top of leg on bottom to the right.

Sew together. This will be to bottom middle seam of tote. Top and bottom of picture will be the top of the tote. The left and right sides of jeans in picture will be the side seams of tote.

Hope this explains. I usually sew a mock felt felled seam on this seam to make it stronger.

After I cut the legs and interfacing to the size I wanted for the tote, I ripped the back pockets off the jeans top, and. embroideried a design on them. I placed them on the material where I wanted them and sewed them on. At this point you could do any type of embellishing you wanted, any type pocket you want, or just leave plain. I use the pockets just because they add to the tote and perfect size for sm. items.

When sewing the side and bottem of lining, don't forget to leave opening in bottem large enough to turn everything right sides out when you get it all together.

Now sew straight across bottom corners of outside and lining to make the box shape, that your tote will have when you are finished. With the measurements I used for this one, I sewed a sem 4 inches long. Measure in from corner far enough to have the seam that long. This allows for the 2 inches on either side of center of bottem and side seams.

Again this makes the flat material into a box shape on bottem and sides.

This picture shows the bottem of the lining. Outside piece looks the same. Now you must turn pieces so you can sew the tops of tote together with right sides together.

This shows how it looks when ready to sew top together. Cut handles as long as you want. Sandwich them inside of each side between lining and outside of tote. In picture I have ends of them sticking up . I used webbing, as it makes for a sturdy handle. When stitching around top, I sew back and forth on each handle end. Makes them stronger when carrying heavy loads. Turn everything around thru the opening in your lining.

I have the outside piece turned to the inside so it's easier to top stitch around the top. The white rectangular thing is a piece of the plastic mesh one used for counted crosstitch. I cut the piece out to put inside the tote between the lining and outside of tote to make the bottem of tote, This piece must be the width and length of the box shape of the bottom. Turn tote, so lining is to the inside, and insert plastic piece thru that opening in the lining.

Here's the tote done.... Yey Hope you could make sense of my instructions. It's an easy tote that can use up old blue jeans, or can be made out of any material that you wish. Any size that you want.

Here are some of the Koolaid Jammer purses I made. They were fun to make and always caused comments when you used one. I lined them all with bright solid colors. Sold them when I went to craft shows.

The top picture is the back of the jacket made out of 3 prs. of recycled bluejeans, really tan ones. Used the pockets off the jeans, and embroideried a floral design on areas of jacket. Next one is the front. Used pockets again, and used belt loops around buttonholes.

The bottom 2 are the apron I just made. It is all lined with another print, should have flipped up the ruffle to show it.

My camera isn't working very good today, or it may be me. Just noticed how crooked she is!!! Leaning to the left. This is the outfit that I just made this last week, hemmed it yesterday. It was the first time, I made that pattern. Has the bonnet, dress and pantaloons. Am trying to do them in appropriate prints for that period.

Here is the denim shirt that I machine embroidered on Tues. for a BB gift. Lori is a beautician. I have so much fun going thru my designs and choosing just that right one for everyones gifts. She wears a denim shirt over her clothes when she cuts hair. Was very happy with shirt.

Thought that I would post two of the projects that I have made with my Embellisher. It has 7 barbed needles that mesh wool roving or ribbons or material into the bottom material. It doesn't use any thread. It's a fun machine, and I must do more things with it.

The top picture is a wool scarf that I made with the wool roving flowers on the ends, and then I cut out some of the material. The color of the scarf isn't tan as the picture, but is grey.

The bottom picture is a denim shirt that I just added the sunflowers onto it. Just by blending the different shades of roving.
